7th grade students checked on the germination of their seeds for the garden. We had lots of success! They also played with the lion head rabbit which was on their beginning of the year wish list. A community supporter also brought us a cotton plant from Georgia so the students could see how it is grown.
8th grade students learned all about goat management. They had an injections lab to learn about the different types of injections and they practiced giving them on oranges and bananas. On Friday, they were ready to give vaccinations to the kids (young goats) and band castrate the males.
If you would like to support our farm, please contact Amy Hedstrom, our Ag teacher. We have lots of animals to feed and any help you can provide would be appreciated!
