Thanks to a generous donation by an anonymous former teacher, a new teacher at JMS will be starting the year with money to spend for his classroom and students.  Daniel Starr, a former JMS and PHS student has come home to teach, and we at Jenkins Middle could not be prouder.  Mr. Starr was awarded $100 in gift cards he won in a drawing for all Jenkins’ new teachers. The drawing was held due to the high attendance of JMS parents at the Police Athletic League School Supply Giveaway held in August. Wanda Wilkinson from Federal Programs, and on behalf of the Parent Involvement District Advisory Council, awarded the gift cards to Mr. Starr at JMS this week. Mr. Starr is teaching 8th grade English Language Arts. Congratulations, Mr. Starr!
