Students, we are so excited about the effort you are putting into your Achieve articles. In order to reward you for your effort, we are going to be having several competitions for you to be able to win prizes. Every time you score at or above 75 on your first try, you will receive a ticket to be placed in a drawing. Make sure to write your first and last name on the ticket and give to your teacher to turn in. Teachers will turn in the ticket to the office. The first drawing will be Thursday, November 3rd. The winner will win a lunch from a local restaurant and will be able to invite a friend to join them. We can’t wait to see who wins the first prize!
Your entire grade level will be able to earn a hot dog cookout for the grade level (7th or 8th) that demonstrates the most lexile growth during the month of November. The winning grade level will enjoy their hot dog cookout the first week of December. Continue working hard and scoring 75 or higher on your Achieve articles!
Students, please use the restrooms closest to your classrooms. If you are found wandering around the campus, skipping class there will be consequences.
Next week is “Red Ribbon Week” and Monday 10/24 is “Rallying Red day” – Wear your favorite red t-shirt to show your support of saying no to drugs!

Attention students: there is a college scholarship opportunity for middle school students that would be interested. The deadline to apply is October 23rd. A flyer is available in the front office for students who would like to apply. You can also see Mrs. Hurst for more information.
Attention students and teachers: Picture retake day will be Tuesday, October 25th. This is your last chance to have a photo done for the yearbook and for your ID. Students who purchased photos but did not like them may return those photos and receive a retake. You MUST have the picture package with you on retake day if you want to return them. If you did not purchase a picture package, retakes will only be done if there is a problem with the pose such as having your eyes closed. See Mrs. Gastelum if you have questions about retake day.
